THE drawn-out saga over Darcy Ward’s 10-month ban from speedway could be set for a public conclusion with the irate star promising a statement over the next week.
Poole Pirates asset Ward, 22, took to Twitter to voice his displeasure having been handed his sanction by the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) – world motorcycle racing's governing body – five days ago.
A statement will follow this or next week with details that I think my fans and supporters should know. I'm not happy about the unanswered

Ward received the punishment having failed an alcohol test at the Latvian Grand Prix in August last year.
