BUCCANEERS will open their season at home to Dorset rivals Weymouth in the National League on Sunday, April 11 according to the British Speedway Promoters’ Association’s website.
The BSPA published the third-tier fixtures late today, and those fixtures have Bournemouth visiting Wildcats in the return on July 16.
Buccaneers have not confirmed whether the BSPA version of their fixtures is correct.
In fact, they appear to be incomplete, with three league meetings missing – Newport (away), King’s Lynn (away) and Scunthorpe (home) – and one Knockout Cup match unscheduled.
Today’s BSPA version of Bournemouth’s National League fixtures published on the governing body’s website, with home matches in capitals, is April: 11 v WEYMOUTH.
May: 5 v NEWPORT, 25 v Dudley, 26 v ISLE OF WIGHT.
June: 23 v BUXTON, 27 v Mildenhall.
July: 4 v Buxton, 8 v PLYMOUTH, 16 v Weymouth, 24 v Rye House, 28 v MILDENHALL.
August: 3 v Isle of Wight, 11 v DUDLEY, 13 v Plymouth, 22 v KING’S LYNN, 29 v RYE HOUSE, 30 v Scunthorpe.
According to the BSPA website, Buccaneers visit King’s Lynn in the Knockout Cup, quarter-final, first leg on June 13.
The National League Riders’ Championship is at Rye House on October 3.
A note accompanying the fixtures on the BSPA website reads: “Fixtures subject to change as and when BSPA press officer is advised by the staging club.”
