The Poole Yacht Racing Association had its annual celebration last weekend when 150 members and guests descended on Poole Yacht Club for their awards evening.
The end-of-season event allows the presentation of overall PYRA prizes (see list in ‘club news’) and captain Ken Morgan was able to present himself with many of them.
After a year of abstinence caused by health issues, Morgan entered every race – and won most of them.
Next season PYRA are going to venture even further afield.
In addition to competitions in the Solent, Weymouth and Channel Islands, a trip to Torquay and Dartmouth is planned for the early May Bank Holiday.
