BOURNEMOUTH coach David Dunn has praised Tim Collier’s commitment after confirming the former Premiership lock would play through the pain barrier at Chippenham tomorrow (2pm).
The ex-Worcester and Harlequins star broke his nose during Lions’ 23-22 home league win over Coney Hill last weekend.
But he has had the injury patched up and will take his place against the Dorset side’s struggling National Three South West rivals.
Dunn, whose team visit Chippenham in the Dorset & Wilts Cup semi-final, said: “Tim trained this week and is looking forward to playing tomorrow. It shows his commitment to the club and the team.
“We’re hopeful Iain Crombie will be back from a shoulder injury and Michael Pope has recovered from his leg problem.
“We’ll make a last-minute decision with Frazer Wilford, who has had a knee injury, and will also make a late decision on our squad. We’re hoping to take a full seven-man bench which we’re allowed to do in this competition.”
High-riding Lions crushed lowly Chippenham 38-0 away in the league in December, but Dunn said there was no room for complacency tomorrow.
He added: “We’re bidding for a third successive cup triumph this season and it’s a competition that means a lot to us.”
