BOSS Will Croker admitted Bournemouth would be play-off underdogs but insisted: "When we are not expected to win, we often come up trumps."
Lions, who finished second in South West Premier, take on hosts Guernsey on Saturday for the right to earn promotion to National Two South next season.
Croker told the Daily Echo: “I am sure most of the island will turn out for them and we are going there with one man and his dog.
"It is going to be a challenge but I think we have a squad who will enjoy that.
“If we can come out, start strongly and put a tremor under them, all of a sudden the pressure switches.
“We are a team who do well when our backs are against the wall. When we are not expected to win, we often come up trumps.
“We think we have enough in our locker to be able to cause them problems and I can’t tell you how excited everybody is.
“Having this as the pinnacle of the season is wonderful and exciting.
“I have not coached in National Two South before – it is the biggest game of my coaching career because it’s the one which could put us up to the next level."
