SWANAGE & Wareham's second relegation in three seasons was confirmed after they lost 21-14 to Sherborne in Southern Counties South.
The hosts needed a win but a couple of early tries put them on the back foot and they never quite recovered.
After a Swans penalty failed to find touch three minutes in, Sherborne passed the ball along their three-quarters and scored out wide.
Five minutes later, Swans were pinned back on their five-metre line and from a lineout, Sherborne drove over for a converted score.
The home side roared out of the traps in the second half. From a lineout, the ball was worked to centre Matt Roberts, who went over close to the posts. Steve Woolley converted.
Two Sherborne penalties saw their lead extended to 18-7 but still Swans would not give in.
In the 66th minute, a penalty took Swans up to the five-metre line and hooker Rob Elford powered over.
Woolley added the extras but Sherborne added another penalty and that completed the scoring.
Swans: Barton (Smith, 75), Spyers, Strange, Roberts, Hardy, Woolley, Tomes, Wyburgh, R Elford, Andrews (Peters, 48), Penney, Dicker (Joynt, 62), McCaffrey, Large, Desmond.
