WILL Croker insists there are no guarantees that Bournemouth's fellow play-off chasers will take maximum points on Saturday.

Lions will hope to maintain their grip on second spot in South West Premier when they travel to fifth-place Brixham (2.30pm), a side who have not lost at home since September.

Meanwhile, Maidenhead and Newton Abbot face arguably more favourable fixtures against visiting opposition in Bracknell and Newbury Blues, respectively.

Croker told the Daily Echo: "We've got to understand that those teams are hot on our heels but we can't influence their results.

"Without sounding clichéd, all we can do is concentrate on what we're doing. We have to do our bit and then look at the RFU website afterwards.

"Our aim has to be to go to Brixham and create the performance which allows us to win.

"Maidenhead and Newton Abbot have had mixed fortunes against teams at the bottom recently so nothing is a given.

"They are definitely not assured of the points. If they were assured of the points, there would be no point in playing the fixtures.

"We have to hope they slip up somewhere along the line or that we can squeeze out a bonus point and try to pull a bit clear."
