CHRIS Frost, Dean Young and Dominic Pitt all scored tries for Ellingham & Ringwood in their 39-20 defeat by Hampshire One rivals Fareham Heathens.

Wing three-quarter Frost scored a good individual first-half try and centre Josh Butcher kicked a penalty but Fareham came back strongly and went in with a 17-8 lead at the break.

Sustained pressure from Ellingham in the second half saw scrum-half Young scored a try which was converted by Butcher.

Full-back Pitt finished a great backs move to score in the corner but pressure from the Fareham pack was eventually the dominant factor and the hosts were able to secure a bonus point win.

Ellingham & Ringwood suffered a 47-8 defeat at the hands of high-flying Salisbury in Dorset & Wilts Two South.

The visitors scored a good try through full-back Jonny Owen and scrum-half and captain Aaron Barker also kicked a penalty.

Ellingham & Ringwood put in another tremendous performance to record a third successive bonus point win, triumphing 47-10 against Dorchester in Dorset & Wilts Three South.

Ellingham scored nine tries with Charlie Cockram, Louis Harling and Dave Jones all scoring two. The others came from Teddy Johnson, Jake Penrose and Henry Turner. Both Nick Douton and Dave Jones kicked conversions.

Ellingham & Ringwood women put in another tremendous performance to beat the Somerset side North Petherton 48-12 and continued their 100 per cent record in the season.

They scored eight tries to secure the bonus point win.

Both flank forward Paige Darvill-White and full-back Keira Paul-Jones scored two tries, with the others coming from Jess Carey, Francesca McAlinney, Chantelle McClure and Rosie Tugwell. Tugwell also kicked four conversions.

Alicia Maude scored both tries in Ellingham & Ringwood's 12-10 win over Basingstoke in their RFU Cup (South) quarter-final. Georgia Lang kicked the vital conversion.
