LEWIS Mitchell ran in three tries as Wimborne registered a 37-19 victory over South West One (East) rivals Grove.
His exploits helped the Minstermen maintain their 100 per cent winning record for the season as they chalked up a bonus-point victory in Oxfordshire.
Wimborne, who had trailed early on, seized control in the second half and scored 27 unanswered points.
Harry Bazalgette, playing his final game before going to Exeter University, coolly slotted home a penalty to reduce the arrears after Grove had gone 5-0 in front.
However, a converted try saw the hosts forge 12-3 ahead before Tom Moysey broke from inside his own half and dummied his way over to score a try which he then converted himself to reduce the deficit to two points.
But back came Groves and another converted try saw them establish a 19-10 advantage at the break.
Wimborne stepped up a gear in the second half and two tries from replacement Mitchell, coupled with a Balzalgette conversion, saw them open a three-point lead.
Ryan Maidment's try, again converted by Balzalgette, stretched their advantage to 29-19 before the final touch down was a personal triumph for Mitchell who showed good strength to complete his hat-trick with Balzalgette adding a penalty last on.
