BOURNEMOUTH rounded off their National Three South West campaign with a 12-try annihilation of Salisbury as Grant Hancox inked his name in the record books.
Hancox needed just five points to surpass Dan Pollard’s club record of 273 points in a season and easily did so, crossing the whitewash once and successfully kicking 11 conversions at Chapel Gate.
Lions were rampant in the second half and roared to an 82-14 triumph which sealed fifth in National Three South West, the same position they ended last term.
In Joe Rees’s 100th league game for Bournemouth, the home side blitzed into a 26-point lead early on, with Alan Manning, Wyn Roberts (2) and Sam Hardcastle crossing and Hancox adding three conversions.
Salisbury replied with two converted tries but a score for Hancox, which he converted himself, made it 33-14 at half-time.
Following the restart, it was one-way traffic. Freddie Gleadowe, Hardcastle and Jack Hennings took the hosts across the 50-point mark and Gleadowe soon grabbed another.
Hennings added his second score and Toby Kenneally touched down, before Alex Everett-Bolter completed the try bonanza.
Hancox did not miss any of his seven conversions in the second half.
Lions: Hancox, Everett-Bolter, Gleadowe, Chislett, Roberts, Boyd, Hardcastle, Spiller, Manning, Firetto, Treloar, Kenneally, Hennings, McDonald, Rees. Replacements: A Davies, Levey, Napier.
