Ellingham & Ringwood’s women’s side progressed to the quarter finals of the RFU National Junior Women’s Plate with a 42-10 victory at Withycombe on Sunday.
Paige Darvill-White crossed twice in the opening ten minutes, as Ellingham took a firm grip on the game against their Devon-based opponents.
Chloe Barrett, Kourtney Driscoll, Anna Stephenson and Yi Xuan Yeap helped themselves to further tries before the interval, with Barrett adding a conversion to send Ellingham in 32-0 ahead.
Withycombe responded gamely after half-time and scored two tries, but Ellingham responded in kind with both Sammie Nichols and captain Ellis Collins going over to wrap up a comprehensive win for their side.
