DIRECTOR of rugby David Dunn watched New Milton rack up a remarkable victory over Chineham before revealing his hope that history would repeat itself.

Hampshire One leaders Milton ran in no fewer than 21 tries on their way to a 133-3 annihilation of their beleaguered hosts.

It was the third time former Bournemouth boss Dunn had witnessed a side under his charge crash through the century barrier, Saturday's mauling being the biggest of the lot.

He told the Daily Echo: "In the season we got promoted at Bournemouth, we had two 100-point victories, so now I'm hoping New Milton will follow suit.

"We reshuffled the team a lot so it wasn't even our full first team. We had been playing well without putting teams away properly so it had been threatening to come. On Saturday, it just clicked.

"We were very pleased with an excellent, all-round team performance and that's why the score got to where it did. People didn't get greedy, we kept our shape and kept playing the patterns.

"Credit to Chineham, they didn't give up at all. At the end of the game, there was a real camaraderie between the teams.

"They kicked a goal with two minutes to play so fair play to them, nobody begrudged them that."
