Rugby: Josh Butcher's impressive kicking display helped Ellingham & Ringwood register a 19-12 victory over Hampshire One rivals Petersfield.
An immense performance at the Raymond Brown Memorial Ground saw Ellingham & Ringwood leapfrog Petersfield and move into third place with a game in hand.
The New Forest outfit started well and took an early lead thanks to a try in the corner from full-back Dominic Pitt.
Scrum-half Butcher added a difficult conversion and landed two long-range penalties as the hosts reached the interval leading 13-0.
Butcher added another penalty early in the second half before Petersfield crossed for a try from a rolling maul to close the gap to 16-5.
However, another Butcher penalty relieved the pressure, although a converted try from Petersfield made it 19-12 with five minutes left.
And although the visitors pushed hard for a share of the points, the Ellingham defence stood firm to secure an important home win.
