THE future of Bournemouth Rugby was outlined at a recent presentation at Hotel Miramar.

Will Croker, Lions' head coach and director of rugby, and chief executive officer James Croker explained their vision to around 100 guests.

Representatives from Bournemouth Borough Council, local businesses, educational bodies and sports clubs turned out at the Bournemouth venue.

The presentation focused on the club’s future following a restructure, with a firm focus on community rugby.

James Croker said: “Rugby has a far wider role and appeal than just on the pitch.

"While we have great ambitions for our first XV and have set the bar high in terms of coaching and player development for all our age groups, we also have a great deal to offer Bournemouth from a community perspective.

"This is a very exciting time for us and there is more to come.”
