ELLINGHAM & Ringwood gained an 8-3 victory at Farnborough in Hampshire Division One to boost their survival hopes.
The visitors took the lead when hooker Adam Payne crashed over after a series of rucks before a Farnborough penalty made it 5-3 at the break.
In a nervy second half, Josh Butcher kicked a successful penalty to wrap up the win for Ellingham.
Es coach Alan Steel said: “It was a really good performance. It wasn’t pretty but our young side stood up to a very physical Farnborough side."
Wimborne triumphed 24-13 at home to Dorchester in Southern Counties South.
In Dorset & Wilts One South, Oakmeadians were demolished 71-0 at Blandford, while East Dorset were edged out 21-17 by Wimborne II and Lytchett Minster won 11-0 at Frome II.
Poole lost 80-5 to Bournemouth III in Dorset & Wilts Two South.
