CHARLIE Cockram scored a hat-trick of tries to help Ellingham & Ringwood defeat Petersfield and move away from the Hampshire One drop zone.
The Es climbed to eighth in the standings courtesy of a 33-15 bonus-point victory over their fellow strugglers at the Raymond Brown Memorial Ground.
Alongside outside-centre Cockram's treble, scrum-half Dave Jones and full-back Dominic Pitt – making his first appearance in more than a year – grabbed the other tries.
The remaining eight points came from the boot of full-back Josh Butcher.
Es coach Alan Steel said: “We've worked really hard to develop our style of play and against Petersfield we saw glimpses of what we’re trying to achieve."
In Southern Counties South, Dorset Dockers were thumped 42-14 at Frome and Wimborne were sunk 24-10 at North Dorset.
Oakmeadians were held to a 10-10 draw by North Dorset II in a clash played at St Peter's School due to flooded pitches at Meyrick Park.
Peter Davies scored Oaks' only try while Nathan Brown added a conversion and a penalty.
Elsewhere in the division, Lytchett Minster hammered East Dorset 50-0.
In Dorset & Wilts Two South, Poole succumbed to a 36-10 defeat at home to Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew.
