HEAD coach Paul Dunne insists set-pieces will be key to Bournemouth's hopes of denting Newton Abbot's impressive home record tomorrow (2.30pm).

Lions make the lengthy trip to South Devon to face the fifth-placed All Whites who have won their past three home matches in National Three South West.

With just one win from five attempts on the road this season, back-to-back league defeats have kept the Chapel Gate outfit too close to the lower reaches for comfort with Dunne calling for a resolute response.

Dunne told the Daily Echo: “Newton Abbot have a strong record so it will be a tough test but one the players will be well prepared for and we are looking forward to it.

“It represents a similar challenge to that posed by most teams in this league. They have a big, powerful pack so getting right the set-pieces and scrums will be key to getting the right result.

“We are taking a pretty strong side down there and having a fully-fit Josh Terry in the front row after a shoulder complaint and work commitments will be important.”

Lions will be without influential duo Tim Collier (unavailable) and Dan Connolly, the latter suffering a small knock after making his comeback from long-term injury against Hornets last week.

Andy Spikings (foot) is expected to be out until Christmas, while new hooker David Shough is not available for the next couple of weeks.

  • Elsewhere, Southern Counties South leaders Swanage entertain struggling Corsham, while fourth-placed Wimborne face an intriguing trip to second-placed Sherborne.

In Dorset & Wilts One South, Oakmeadians host a derby date with table-topping Dorset Dockers at Meyrick Park (all 2.30pm).
