HEAD coach Tim Flower has targeted a triple title tilt after Dorset Dockers expanded their profile to three teams ahead of their second season in existence.

Dockers won every match in Dorset & Wilts Two South during their maiden campaign, taking the title at a canter as well as setting the all-time British record score for competitive rugby with a 212-0 win over Dorchester II in March.

The first team have been promoted to Division One South while the club’s growing popularity has seen a second team entered into Division Three South. A Colts team has also been set up.

Flower has recruited the help of former Oakmeadians colleague Kevin Southam and fellow Welshman Steve Thomas to train the props, while player-coach Alex Priest works with the backs. Strength and conditioning expert Sean Burgess completes the backroom staff.

“The growth has been huge,” said Flower. “We have enough for two teams now as well as the Colts and having more support on the coaching side gives the players who want to progress a proper chance to push on.

“Our aim is for each team to win their league.”
