Rugby: Premiership star hands Bournemouth coaching boost
6:00am Friday 1st November 2013 in Rugby
DIRECTOR of rugby Budge Pountney reckons Bournemouth's performances will be boosted by the addition of former Leicester Tigers and Bath lock Peter Short to his backroom staff.
The 34-year-old, a former England under-21 international, has been assisting the existing coaches at Chapel Gate over the past couple of weeks.
Pountney said: “He is fantastic in how he gets players to do different things and hopefully in the coming weeks and months, we will really start to see a difference.
“We now look at the coaching team and it's starting to look like something really good. There is experience across the board and hopefully that will help the players go on and push to the next level.”
Seventh-placed Lions travel to Ampthill & District in National Two South tomorrow (2.15pm).
