LEE James’s chances of winning back his European Tour privileges look slim after a second-round 76 in the Grand Final in Italy today.
James is on seven-over-par and six shots off the top-10 pace in Puglia with two rounds left.
The Broadstone player must finish in the top seven to stand any hope of climbing the six places he needs to claim one of the 20 cards up for grabs.
Australian Andrew Tampion on six-under-par has a three-shot lead over Frenchman Alexandre Kaleka at the halfway stage. Only six players are in red figures.
