DORSET star Georgia Hall has made the trip to Hollywood in a bid to claim the inaugural HUGEL-JTBC LA Open title on the LPGA Tour.

The Wimborne-based professional is part of a star-studded field looking to make history at the event at Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles.

Former Canford Kid Hall, in her debut season Stateside, will be looking to bounce back following missed cuts at the Kia Classic and ANA Inspiration last month.

Ranked 35th in the world, the 22-year-old will begin her opening round tomorrow at 9.28pm UK time alongside 16-year tour veteran Natalie Gulbis and America’s Tiffany Joh.

With an overall prize purse of more than £1million at stake, the showcase tournament will feature 91 of the top 100 players from last season’s LPGA Tour money list.

World number one Shanshan Feng tops the line-up, in which 21 of the top 25 ranked players on the planet are set to take part.

Former Oakmead College pupil Hall earned an LPGA Tour card after holding her nerve at qualifying school at LPGA International in December.
