Dorset's Georgia Hall shot an impressive one-under-par 71 in brutal conditions in the first round of the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open yesterday.
The Wimborne-based 21-year-old was one of the early starters at Dundonald Links in Ayrshire and carded birdies at the sixth and ninth holes, dropping her only shot at the 15th.
Hall, who leads the European Solheim Cup rankings, said: “I’m happy with that, as it was steady. I woke up at 4.45am and heard the wind and thought, what’s this? It helps when you have 25 putts.”
