BOURNEMOUTH’S rising star Georgia Hall admits she is unsure if she will enter LPGA Tour qualifying.

The 20-year-old has made a flying start to her second full year on the Ladies’ European Tour and currently sits fifth in the order of merit.

She has racked up winnings of nearly 43,000 euro thanks in no small part to top-10 finishes at the Buick Championship and the Australian Women’s Open.

The former Canford Kid has improved her world ranking by 100 places to 156 since the start of the calendar year and is eligible to try her luck in LPGA Tour qualifying in the United States.

Players can enter the first two stages of qualifying from next month, with the final stage set to take place at the end of November and beginning of December. However, Hall is undecided on whether she will take the opportunity.

She told the Daily Echo: “I have some time before the close of entries. I still haven’t made up my mind if I’m going to go as it’s quite a big decision to make.

“But I would imagine soon I will know.

“It’s a lot of money to go over there, a lot of money to enter and a lot of time wasted if you are not at your best.

“I would like to play on the LPGA Tour at some point, I don’t know for how long but I would like to give it a go.

“I do love where I’m living at the moment and don’t want to move away but you never know what the future holds.”

Hall has already admitted she will not be taking part in tomorrow’s US Women’s Open sectional qualifier at Buckinghamshire Golf Club.

Despite attempting to apply while mid-tournament at the World Ladies’ Championship in China in March, Hall’s entry arrived too late.

And now the youngster has also confirmed she will not compete in Evian Championship qualifying next week due to the low number of guaranteed qualifiers.

She added: “I didn’t do that last year and didn’t even try to enter this year because it is only two spots. Five spots would be fair enough.”

Hall, who won the ALPG-sanctioned Victorian Open in Australia in February, believes she is starting to become more recognised on the LET.

She added: “When I won, I think a lot of people became more aware of me. You say hello to each other.

“Even if you are in the top 10 or 15 of LET events every week, players are not necessarily going to remember your name.

“I’m fifth in the order of merit and have done well in recent tournaments, so it’s been nice to make more friends.”

Hall is due to return to action in mid-June when she journeys to the Czech Republic to play in the Tipsport Golf Masters at Golf Park Pilsen.

The ex-Curtis Cup star is on course to qualify for July’s Women’s British Open – one of the biggest events in the calendar.
