DORSET'S Kevin Spurgeon is today set to make his debut in the 54-hole Senior PGA Professional Championship at Foxhills Resort.
The Ferndown pro retired from European Senior Tour duty last year having made more than 150 appearances and won the inaugural Mauritius Open in 2009.
Spurgeon also sunk two holes in one and the 61-year-old will be hoping to toast similar success in Surrey.
The £37,000 tournament will be contested over the Bernard Hunt and Longcross courses with Carnoustie’s Fraser Mann the defending champion.
Spurgeon said: “I’ve haven’t done a lot over the winter but I’m looking forward to playing in the Senior PGA and seeing a few familiar faces."
