BOURNEMOUTH'S Georgia Hall admitted difficulties on the greens had been the root cause of her early exit from the RACV Ladies' Masters.

The 19-year-old missed the cut at Royal Pines Resort in Queensland having shot eight-over-par in the opening 36 holes.

And the former amateur star admitted she had not produced what she had hoped for with the putter.

Hall said: "The greens were terrible, if I'm honest.

"People putted well on them so it's no excuse whatsoever. I just found it very hard to read them.

"My long game wasn't too bad at all, it was just the putting."

Hall is due to return home tomorrow having kicked off her year with four tournaments in the Southern Hemisphere.

The former Curtis Cup ace banked the two biggest pay cheques of her career thanks to victory at the Victorian Open and a top-10 finish at the Australian Open.

Next up is the World Ladies' Championship at Mission Hills in China, which is due to begin a week on Thursday.

Hall added: "I'm really excited to go home because I've been away for months.

"I'll be back for about five days before I leave for China which I'm looking forward to as well because I haven't played that tournament before."
