BOURNEMOUTH'S Georgia Hall suffered a thunderstorm delay as she struggled in the first round of the US Women's Open – her first Major as a professional.
The 19-year-old carded an eight-over-par 78 at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania.
She had been four-over-par through 13 holes when the action was halted on day one.
Former Curtis Cup star Hall finished her opening 18 today and a back nine of seven bogeys made for disappointing reading for the talented youngster.
The tournament is currently being joint-led by Jane Park, Alex Marina and Aussie Karrie Webb on four-under.
Hall is due to head straight back out at 2.05pm GMT for her second round.
