DORSET’S Georgia Hall is hoping a spell of warm-weather practice could prove the ideal preparation for her debut as a fully-fledged card holder on the Ladies European Tour.

Hall, who won her playing privileges after finishing runner-up at Lalla Aicha Tour School in Morocco in December, is planning to head to Dubai to gear up for the new season.

The 18-year-old, crowned Ladies’ British Amateur champion in 2013, turned professional in July and played a handful of LET events after receiving sponsors’ invites last season.

But after earning full membership, Bournemouth-born Hall is in line to take her bow in her own right in the £450,000 Lalla Meryem Cup in Agadir, Morocco next month.

The former Oakmead College pupil, who capped a glittering amateur career by representing Europe at last year’s Curtis Cup, told the Daily Echo: “I am hoping to get away somewhere warm to practise.

“Dubai would be the ideal place but I haven’t finalised anything yet because it is still quite a way away. I should know for definite later this month and am hoping to go for a week or two.”

Hall, who started out as a seven-year-old when she enrolled as a Canford Kid at Canford Magna Golf Club, has spent the past few weeks practising and recharging her batteries – and also enjoying a few games of bingo.

“I try to get the balance right,” she said. “I have been practising, going to the gym, relaxing and catching up with friends. I try to enjoy myself when I’m not on the course because it’s important.

“I am hitting the ball well and have been keeping things ticking over until the season starts. I tend to practise by myself and don’t play with anyone. It can get boring so you have to make it competitive and enjoyable.

“To say I can’t wait for the season to start would be an understatement. It is what I have been practising for ever since I first started playing. I wouldn’t want to do anything else.

"I am confident I can compete with all the other players on the tour. I will try my best and see where it takes me.”
