BROADSTONE Golf Club has appointed Adrian Harris as its new head professional.

Harris, 29, has been promoted from his previous role as assistant to outgoing pro Neil Rowlands.

Born and raised in Poole, Harris has been associated with the club since joining as a junior member at the age of 11.

After attending university in Birmingham and working at Bramall Park Golf Club in Cheshire, he returned to work at Broadstone five years ago.

Harris said: “It was always my aspiration to do this job. It is a massive role in the area at a great club and getting this opportunity is huge.

"My main aims are to provide the best possible service for the mem bers, to carry on playing regularly in tournaments and to continue my coaching.”
