COUNTY junior star George Long (Parkstone/Dudsbury) has become the first amateur to win the Dorset Open.
The 18-year-old won a play-off with seasoned professional Mark Wiggett at Dudsbury on Sunday.
Both players carded first round 71s in the rain-affected tournament, which saw the second round washed out.
Long won the play-off at the first extra hole with a par at the 18th to clinch the overall trophy and Hillamsland silverware (for the top amateur).
Selected other scores (72 players took part): 72 David Cook (Parkstone), Mike Watson (Wessex Golf Centre), Luke Joy (Broadstone).
