Ewen brace earns a point
FUNNY OLD GAME: Richie Phippard
FUNNY OLD GAME: Richie Phippard

DAVE Ewen was at the double as New Milton Town served up a refreshing alternative to the stereotypically dull end of season matches.

Linnets eventually drew 3-3 against Horndean at Fawcetts Field in what was an action-packed afternoon.

The drama came in the shape of a red card for New Milton's Jonny Grace and three penalties - two for the visitors - as they came back from 2-0 and 3-1 down to steal a point.

New Milton's football secretary Richie Phippard summed things up by saying: "It was a bit of a funny old game."

New Milton Town: Langdown, K Chengadu, R Chengadu, Grace, Pidgley, Walker (Coleman), Kenna, Ewen, Henwood (Neville), Woolner, Burt (Sampays). Unused subs: Booker, Malloy.
