| SOUND SEASON: Adie Arnold |
ADIE Arnold thinks his Verwood Town side got what they deserved from the season - a fourth-place finish in Wessex Division One.
Two goals from Luke Homer ensured a draw at Amesbury on Saturday, which was enough to keep the Potterne Park outfit among the league's leading quartet.
"The result was okay because we clinched fourth place," Arnold told the Daily Echo.
"The first half was disappointing but we responded well in the second half and played a lot better."
Despite hitting the woodwork on three occasions, Verwood had to settle for a point.
Verwood Town: Willis, Elysee, King, Lynch, Stephens, Homer, Dyer, Arnold, Matt Newbury (Martin Newbury, 65), Goodall, Reeves. Unused subs: Beverley, Murrey.
