Wimborne boss Cuss delighted to take the Micky

WIMBORNE Town manager Steve Cuss is tipping creative midfielder Micky Hubbard to play a key role at Cuthbury next season.

Cuss was speaking after the former Cherries trainee had agreed terms to stay at Dorset club for the 2012-13 season.

The Magpies boss said: “Micky played a vital role in our improvement in form towards the end of last season.

“I’m delighted he is staying and expect him to play a very important role in the squad during the new campaign.”

An influential player during Poole Town’s Wessex League championship treble, Hubbard joined rivals Wimborne in February.

Cuss is still in talks over retaining the services of fellow midfielder Tom Hill.

Meanwhile, Wimborne are understood to be interested in signing Hamworthy United’s Will Robinson.
