BOSS Simon Browne is vowing to clean up Hamworthy United’s poor disciplinary record.

Hammers have paid a heavy price for two needless sendings-off in recent weeks and Browne has had his fill.

Firebrand striker Stuart Cannie received a straight red card after petulantly kicking out at Carlo Tate during the midweek defeat by Brockenhurst.

The 28-year-old’s second-half dismissal left Hammers short as they unsuccessfully pressed for an equaliser to Ben Griffiths’s 40th-minute winner.

Cannie is likely to be hit with a three-match ban, ruling him out of the busy Easter period – including Hammers’ derby with Poole Town.

Suspension had also robbed Browne of the services of Richard Jackson for their Dorset Senior Cup semi-final defeat by Gillingham Town earlier this month.

The 22-year-old playmaker had been forced to sit out after collecting two bookings – including one for dissent – in a 1-1 draw at Romsey last month. Browne, who took the managerial reins in October, told the Daily Echo: “There was a disciplinary problem at this club long before I arrived and it is something I am trying to address.

“It has certainly hampered our season and is something I will be stamping down on with more authority next season.”

Browne, who said he did not see the incident that led to Cannie receiving his marching orders against Brockenhurst, will be hoping for a response when Ham-mers visit Lymington (3pm).
