TWO midfielders and a striker remain on Steve Riley's shopping list as the Bashley boss aims to finalise his squad during the next fortnight.

Riley has lost forward Ryan Moss to Dorchester Town and midfielder Craig Davis to Sutton during the close-season, and despite being pleased with new signings James Rowe, Nic Eastham and Joe Fisher, he would still like to make further additions.

"We've got one or two players we're having a look at," said Riley, who surveyed his squad in a training match at Brockenhurst College on Saturday.

"We want to bring in two or three other players to make the squad up but I'm going to give it a few weeks and see how it develops.

"We're maybe two midfielders and a forward short."

Riley is delighted with the way former Cherries trainee Rowe has settled into life at the Recreation Ground.

He said: "I like the look of him, he's been electric in pre-season training.

"He's a better replacement for Craig Davis. I think he'll give us a bit more than Craig did and I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll do for us.

"Nic Eastham's also looked good, so that's two I've been quite impressed with."

After the addition of Rowe, Bash are likely to have two Cherries old boys in their central midfield, with Danny Smith set for his first full season in the New Forest after performing well for the club during the second half of last term.

The striker will battle it out with the likes of Marc Burrows for a place in the Priory starting line-up next season.
