SWANAGE Town & Herston hotshot Cameron Beard hit a devastating six-timer in their 7-2 victory over Sturminster Newton United in the Dorset Premier League.

The in-form striker was joined on the scoresheet by Dave Best as Swans ran out comfortable winners at Day’s Park.

Beard opened the scoring from the penalty spot after six minutes before Sam Stockley levelled for the visitors midway through the first half.

Best headed home to make it 2-1 after latching on to a cross from Cody Littleford before teenager Beard showed his talent as he struck twice in two minutes to as good as end the game as a contest before half-time.

Beard helped himself to his second hat-trick after the break before Jamie Danoris hit a late consolation for United.

Max Wilcock's double proved in vain for leaders Hamworthy Recreation and they suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of third-placed Westland Sports at Magna Road.

Mathew Newbery's double fired Parley Sports to a 6-1 win over Hamworthy United reserves at Christchurch Road. Adam Trimby, Dan Haynes, Billy Wheatley and Jon Peat were also on target for Parley.

Mike Haskell plundered a hat-trick in Holt United's 4-1 win over Shaftesbury Town reserves at Petersham Lane, while Lee Wilkins did likewise for Merley Cobham Sports in their 7-0 rout of Bridport reserves.
