ASSISTANT boss Callum Brooks issued a call to action for Poole Town’s players to turn around their “disastrous” home form.

With two league victories and nine points at Black Gold Stadium all season, Dolphins have the worst record on their own patch of any side in National South.

Eight points from safety with five games left to save their season, Poole tomorrow host third-place Hampton & Richmond (7.45pm).

Brooks told the Daily Echo: “The time for talking is over in my opinion. All we can do is try to win the game because we are getting very close to the tipping point.

“It’s only actions and performances which are going to help us. If we go down it’s not because we didn’t pick up a point or three at Chelmsford City. It’s because our home form has been disastrous.

“It was our base during the league title-winning campaign and the play-off qualifying campaign over the past two seasons.

“I think we owe it to ourselves as a group and to the supporters who watch every week to put in a really good, energetic performance at home.”

Dolphins are set to welcome back on-loan striker James Constable for the contest after he served a two-game ban. Marvin Brooks remains suspended.

Jake Smeeton, who missed Saturday’s defeat at Chelmsford due to illness, could also be involved.
