BOSS Ollie Cherrett insisted Christchurch would be patched up and ready to go in their derby clash with New Milton Town tonight (7.45pm).

Priory have been ravaged by injuries over the past week, having only been able to name two replacements on the bench for their 0-0 draw with Alton on Saturday.

But Cherrett believes those of his squad who are available are up for the fight against the Linnets at Hurn Bridge.

He told the Daily Echo: “Hopefully, we can patch up a few and make sure we have a strong side out.

“We have had a good start at home. To get a local derby will be nice and I think the players are looking forward to it.

“It will be a tough challenge and they will be well up for it. We know we have to go into it with the right attitude.”

Luke Stone (calf) and Matt Neale (hamstring) are struggling to be fit for the hosts but Max Wilcock is set to return.

Cherrett is also hopeful of signing Connor Phillips from Hamworthy United in time for the encounter.

Both sides go into the clash level on points with eight points from five league fixtures.
