BRENDON King is set to welcome back Nathan Walker and Steve Smith for Hamworthy United's FA Cup opener against Bemerton Heath Harlequins.

Walker missed Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Lymington Town in the Sydenhams Wessex Premier due to the birth of his son, while Smith was suspended.

Both are due to return for tomorrow's extra preliminary round encounter at the County Ground (3pm), with £1,500 in prize money at stake.

Boss King told the Daily Echo: “Both will be included in the squad."

He added: “At this stage of the season, you don’t know what you are going to get with other teams. But we will be prepared for it and it’s something to look forward to.”

Meanwhile, Bashley have received a boost ahead of their FA Cup fixture against visitors Fareham Town, with frontman Kabba Jack rejoining the club.

Christchurch and Lymington Town are also at home, welcoming AFC Portchester and Andover Town, respectively, while Ringwood Town host Ascot United.

Poppies face the prospect of a trip to Knaphill while Brockenhurst are also away, this time to Team Solent.

New Milton Town have no cup fixture to fulfil, instead making the journey to East Cowes Victoria in Wessex One.
