BOSS Adie Arnold says his Verwood Town players still believe Sydenhams Wessex Premier survival is possible.

Potters are bottom of the table and five points from safety having won just once in the league since mid-December.

Verwood travel to Lymington tomorrow (3pm) and Arnold told the Daily Echo: “Every game is massive at the moment.

“It’s about getting the next win. We could drag a couple of sides down if we win on Saturday but it’s going to be hard work.

“We have to keep our brow high. We’re still confident we can stay up. We know it’s going to be tough but it’s been tough from day one.

"Short-term we are trying to get it right but we are also looking at the bigger picture.”

Arnold is without the services of Martin Smith, who has been sidelined by a shoulder injury.

Lymington beat hosts Alresford 3-1 on Wednesday thanks to goals from Owen Fee, Charlie Willett and Sam House.

Poppies, who are 18th in the standings, will tomorrow hope to soothe their drop fears with a win at Brockenhurst, while Bashley entertain Sholing and Hamworthy visit Newport.

A tier below in Wessex One, New Milton and Ringwood are home to US Portsmouth and East Cowes, respectively.
