BOSS Tom Prodomo hopes the Sydenhams League Cup trip to Bemerton can help out-of-form Bashley get back on track.

Bash have not triumphed in the league since the middle of November but a quarter-final berth is on the line in Wiltshire tonight (7.45pm).

Prodomo told the Daily Echo: “It’s always nice to be involved in cup competitions and particularly when the quarter-finals are in sight.

“We’ve caused our own downfall a couple of times recently but confidence and happiness in the group is pretty good considering the run we’ve been on.

“Any win in any competition changes the way everybody feels slightly. We don’t feel we’re far away and, hopefully, this game will help us turn the corner.”

Prodomo has a full squad for the journey over the border, giving him a selection headache.

“A couple will miss out,” added the manager.

“But it’s nice to be in a position where we have to leave players out, whereas at the start of pre-season we had no players to our name.

“We are quite demanding in terms of the amount of training sessions we put on but the boys have been first-class all year.

“The commitment from them has been great.”

There have been a couple of departures at Bashley Road recently with Connor Hoare and Taylor Leonard leaving for Blackfield and Poppies, respectively.

In terms of incomings, Lewis Brailey has joined Bash from mid-table Horndean.

Elsewhere, Owen Fee has swapped Totton & Eling for Lymington Town.
