STRIKER Lee Wort is adamant he will score goals for Poole Town in National South – if he enjoys a settled season.
The 24-year-old spent two months on loan at Tatnam from Gosport Borough last term, netting twice in seven Southern League Premier Division appearances.
He ended the season at Sholing where previously he had scored more than 50 times to help the Boatmen win the Sydenhams Wessex League and FA Vase.
Wort is now hoping for a solid campaign at Poole as Dolphins prepare for the significant challenge of National South.
He told the Daily Echo: "Last year was a bit stop-start for me with Gosport and I was on and off the bench in my first season there.
"Hopefully, a full season in National South with Poole will be good.
"I want to stay as high as I can for as long as I can. It's a good, competitive league and it will be good to test myself.
"I need a settled season at one club and I'm confident I can score goals. It's a fresh start for me."
Securing the Southern Premier crown last term allowed Dolphins to return to non-league's second tier following a 25-year absence.
