WIMBORNE Town is in mourning today following the death of FA Vase-winning assistant manager Nick Jennings.
The former Portsmouth winger, who was inducted into the club’s hall of fame in 2013, served as Alex Pike’s right-hand man during Wimborne’s finest hour in 1992.
Jennings enjoyed a fruitful career with Pompey, scoring 50 goals in 227 professional appearances and also played for Plymouth and Exeter.
He died unexpectedly over the weekend at the age of 70.
