NEW boss Carl Poore insists he will not flood Hamworthy United's squad with Poole Town youngsters as he bids to strike "the right balance"

Poore, who was appointed on Thursday, played several Dolphins rookies during his time in charge of Verwood and has already sought the assistance of Tatnam counterpart Tom Killick.

But former-Poole captain Poore told the Daily Echo: "Tom will help out if needed but we do need to make sure we have the right balance.

"Anyone who comes in needs to be with us for a while, I don't want to upset the group and they need to improve the team.

"I can't have anyone who won't stick around and have a drink with the lads. It is about making sure we have the right people as much as the right players."

The key difference this time is that Poore will have a playing budget to work with at the County Ground.

"We do have to make sure we get the right people who are not just there for the money," he added.

"Some people need the money they earn from football and you don't mind that as long as they earn it. It is striking the right balance and our first priority is to get the players enjoying their football, that is the best way to get results."
