THE funeral of popular non-league player Steve Moore will take place on Thursday, April 28 at St Aldhelm’s Church, Branksome (2pm).
Ex-Cherries youngster Steve, who played for Wimborne, Poppies, Christchurch and Dorchester among others, died on Thursday having battled with pancreatic cancer for 10 months.
Those attending are encouraged to wear bright colours in celebration of Steve’s life with his family requesting family flowers only.
Instead, anyone who wishes to contribute is encouraged to sponsor Steve’s former team-mate Wayne Crutcher, who is doing a 24k run to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer.
