RINGWOOD Town emphatically ended a seven-match winless run in all competitions by rattling home a goal for each of those games at Fleet Spurs.
Charlie Pierson’s men sealed a 7-1 victory in Sydenhams Wessex One to put their beleaguered hosts in the dog house at Kennels Lane.
Ben Harris, Elliott Peck and Mike Cowland all got on the score sheet, while Ryan Osman and substitute Tom Faulkner each bagged a brace.
The success marked Ringwood’s first league win since October and saw them remain 11th in the table.
Elsewhere, New Milton Town’s recent revival on home soil was brought to a shuddering halt by a 4-0 defeat to Totton & Eling.
The Linnets had been on a four-match unbeaten league run at Fawcett’s Field having collected 10 points from matches against Laverstock & Ford, Christchurch, Tadley Calleva and Downton since December 12.
But after being put to the sword, Milton dropped to 13th in the standings, one place below their conquerors.
