RINGWOOD Town will have to do without the services of Matt Finlay for up to six weeks due to damaged ankle ligaments.

Finlay awkwardly twisted the joint while warming up ahead of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Christchurch with the prognosis a concern to boss Charlie Pierson, who named himself on the bench against Priory.

"The squad is getting a little bit thinner, particularly with Charlie Heggan still on the sidelines," said Pierson. "He is another couple of weeks away so Matt's problem is certainly not welcome. We will have to muddle through but it is tough."

Ringwood entertain Tadley Calleva in Sydenhams Wessex One tonight (7.45pm) knowing victory would see them leapfrog their opponents into ninth place.

  • Lymington Town will be looking to arrest a slump of four straight defeats in all competitions when they renew county cup acquaintances with Fleet Town tonight (7.45pm).

John Pyatt's men dramatically exited the Russell-Cotes Cup courtesy of a 5-3 defeat to the Southern League outfit a fortnight ago but have the opportunity to exact revenge at Calthorpe Park.

The winners progress to the semi-finals with National South giants Havant & Waterlooville and Basingstoke Town still involved in the competition.

  • Hamworthy United tonight face the thankless task of halting table-topping Salisbury's six-match winning streak in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.

The reformed club, managed by ex-Cherries striker and television pundit Steve Claridge, have put together nine straight successes in all competitions and lead the race for promotion by five points as well as having a shot at reaching Wembley in the FA Vase.

Hammers, who sit 12th in the table, have not played for more than two weeks with clashes at Horndean and Fareham, as well as a home match against Bemerton, falling foul of the weather.

  • Elsewhere, 15th-placed Brockenhurst hit the road in a bid to put back-to-back league defeats behind them, visiting Graham Kemp's Bemerton (both 7.45pm).
