MICKY Hubbard pulled the strings as Lymington earned a deserved 2-0 win over Sydenhams Wessex Premier strugglers Alresford last night.
Hubbard, signed recently by Lymington after dual registering from Winchester City, set up both goals as they climbed into seventh place in the table.
The former Poole and Wimborne midfielder supplied an incisive pass for Elliot Cross, whose centre was swept home for the opener by Nathan Hurst in the 36th minute.
And Hubbard capped his man-of-the-match display by providing the 75th-minute corner which picked out Darren Ritchie, who headed home the second.
Alresford included experienced midfielder Brian Howard who served Swindon, Barnsley, Sheffield United, Portsmouth, Reading, Birmingham, CSKA Sofia and Oxford during a career in the pro ranks.
