SWANAGE Town & Herston boss Tim Brown presided over a fifth successive league win and then hailed his team for “a great all-round performance”.

Graeme Rose’s hat-trick spearheaded Swans to a convincing 5-1 victory over Dorset Premier League strugglers Cranborne at Penny's Lane.

Rose’s first-half double and a Sam Beale effort gave the visitors a deserved interval lead following an impressive showing during the opening 45 minutes.

And after Rose had completed his treble in the second half, Beale added his second and Swans’ fifth to take them to seventh in the table.

Manager Brown said: “It was important to continue the winning run as our game was the only one to survive the wet weather.

“We dominated and controlled the game against a team who are fighting to survive in the Dorset Premier League and always make it difficult on their pitch.

“I was pleased Sam Beale was among the goals again after a few games of not scoring and the hat-trick by striker Graeme Rose should give him a lot of confidence. Ricky King also deserves special mention because he was a constant thorn in Cranborne’s side.”
