HAMWORTHY United boss Shane Traynor could unleash striker Conor Jevon on Blackfield & Langley tomorrow – but will be without the services of midfielder Luke Holmes.

Weymouth frontman Jevon, who is dual registered with Hammers, is in line to make his debut when they host the Sydenhams Wessex Premier high-fliers at the County Ground (7.45pm).

However, Holmes, the teenage son of former Cherries, Blackburn and West Ham star Mattie Holmes, has been co-opted by Wimborne after signing Southern League forms at Cuthbury.

The 17-year-old Cherries Academy prospect played his part in Traynor getting the Hammers manager’s job on a permanent basis after netting in a 2-0 win at Poppies earlier this month.

But after featuring just three times for United, Holmes, who can play for non-league clubs on a youth loan, was snapped up by Wimborne boss Steve Cuss.

Traynor told the Daily Echo: “AFC Bournemouth said it would be a good thing for Luke’s development for him to try the next level and it is a fantastic chance for him.

“I don’t blame him for wanting to step up because it’s a higher level and he knows he can come back to us at any stage.”

Traynor, who works on the Academy coaching staff at Dean Court, used his contacts at Weymouth to persuade them to allow Jevon to sign.

He added: “Conor scored for their reserves on Saturday and hit a hat-trick the previous week. He’s a physical forward who is hungry to score goals.”

Traynor has named a full-strength squad for the visit of fourth-placed Blackfield, a team he describes as “one of the best in the league”.

In Wessex One, Ringwood Town travel to Team Solent tomorrow (7.45pm).
