RUGBY players have dug into their pockets to help out Wimborne Town Football Club.
The chairperson at Wimborne, Paula Henley, joint-runs Henley’s Response Ltd which is the main sponsor of Verwood-based Dorset Dockers.
And players from the Dorset & Wilts 1 South side have forked out to help their football counterparts, who play in Southern South & West.
Dockers squad members paid for an advertising board at Cuthbury at a cost of £495 plus VAT.
Henley’s gave Dockers financial help in starting up and the rugby club played its first competitive game in Dorset & Wilts 2 South last year.
The club went on to earn promotion and are currently second in Dorset & Wilts 1 South.
